Posted February 19, 200817 yr She's a 1976 XS500C. Runs pretty well, but she's pretty faded. I'm getting her set up for a 4200 mile ride in July. Planning on B roads the whole way, I think she'll do it. I hope she'll do it. She has 28,000 miles on the clock, so I have no reason to think she won't be up to it, long as I treat her nice and wisper sweet things in her ear. Anyways, currently have a list of parts off MikesXS page. Also might swop out the harness, not 100s on that yet. Have begun to paint the bike a nice shade of red for visibility and a love for Red roadsters. Have Hagon shocks off another bike for her, and some mufflers I've swiped off my Triton. I'm also in the process of borrowing a headlight off the Norton Atlas for the use of the Halogen lens and bigger bucket. It'll look all right and allow me to fit a Dart fly screen. I'll post more as she turns into more of my kind of motocycle.
