hi again.ive just been up the rd on bike and noticed that now the rev counter dont work.ive noticed these are not cable.any ideas for why stopped working?

Could be just broken or a wiring problem however if it is behaving erraticly be carefull as this often happens when the regulator/rectifier is on the way out.

The standard yam part is not up to the job and the next part to go will almost certainly be the cdi unit if you leave it.

An aftermarket heavy duty reg/rec is available for about 40 quid.

For more info have a look on the supertenere forum you need to register to view.
