It may depend on the age, but more than likely it's electronic. How old is your RXS? (I had an '85 RXS years ago and that had the usual CDI type ignition system, AFAICR.)

I am fairly sure that the RXS had electronic ignition with a CDI unit - it was upgraded from the old points/condensor system on the RS which preceded it.

my rxs100 e reg 89...i had a problem a week ago found out it was sugur....went to check the points ignition which there wasnt lol i thought someone might of changed it thats all

atlease i dont have to set the points on it....also ive found some fiber reeds for it would they be alright or a waste of time and money

fibre reed should be ok but these work with other mods done to the engine as well
