I'm looking at purchasing the 2008 XT250 Yamaha Dual Purpose Dirt bike.

What are your thoughts on this new model?

I'm very excited, and hope it gets good reviews in the future, seems very comfortable!

I just checked out some pictures of the XT250. Nice bike!!! Sold my XT225 this summer, and am looking to upgrade. The XT225 was a good bike, but it could have used a but more power. Was wondering if the new XT250 would have more balls and better suspension? Let me know how the bike drives when you get a chance. Thanks

I got mine at the beginning of this year. Good beginner bike, pretty smooth on road and off. I wouldn't take it on the highway tho.

I mostly got mine mostly b/c I am vertically challenged and the XT has a 31 inch seat height.

Its been good to me so far, time will tell.

The new XT is only a 5 gear as opposed to the 225 with the six gear, its a sacrafice I was willing to make.
