omega
hi there guys, first let me say a BIG HELLO and then to business im new to the forum and joined hopefully to learn about the yamaha r series throttle body system, i dont actually own a yamaha r series bike but i do have a DAX Rush kit car that is currently using old R1 carb's to NA the engine. i am currently planning to upgrade the carb system to the R6 injection throttle bodies. i have had a stainless steel inlet manifold made to allow for the carbs to fit to the pinto head. what i need to know is,do the R6 throttle bodies have the same mounting face (the part that meets the inlet manifold) as the R1 carbs and would it be possible for me just to remove the old R! carbs and replace them with the R6 throttle bodies? all the best Alex
chrisw
I would have imaged that seems the R1 engine is bigger the pots will be further apart (centre to centre) so very much doubt R6 throttle bodies would bit onto an R1 inlet manifold
