December 30, 200717 yr check throttle cable for free play, you need some. Tickover is set at the carbs, its between the 2 centre ones just below the carb air inlets about 1 pence in size. i would also check to make sure cables are free to move, should not take any effort at all, and that they are not caught up any where like under the tank.
