I have a well used 1975 yamaha dt400b. im having problems with geting a spark. i am getting 8-8.6 volts at each point in the wiring. i was wondering if any one had any similiar problems or how many volts are needed... '

Buy one of these manuals. It solved my electrical problems. It includes a colored wiring diagram.
