H Posted December 27, 2007 Share Posted December 27, 2007 i have the problem with my "lights" fuse keeps blowing when ever i put a fuse in, the light switch can be off but as soon as i turn the key on it blows the fuse, i have tried wiring bits up on by one but this came to no avail, any ideas on what the problem is? cheers Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Dave C Posted December 27, 2007 Share Posted December 27, 2007 Just sounds like a plain straight forward short. Given the age of the bike its probably rubbed the plastic casing of the cable and shorting on the frame. I had a similar problem on my 1989 xj600 took a while to find it, a lot of tight turns and rough edges in the wiring harness, i found quite a few future problem areas while looking so they got sorted as well.
