Daiv
My bike serves two purposes. . . 1) To get me to work everyday where I earn the necessary £'s to 2) Take a trip to Europe on the bike each year. F1 races are great destinations to aim for. Having done Spa 3 times, Monaco once and Magny Cours 5 times... MONZA is my 2008 destination of choice. F1 on telly is wasted. Only when you witness them live, do you get a true appreciation for the sport. Actually, it's the fans at the race circuit who really create the atmosphere. Typical Sunday afternoon F1 TV fans never experience the support races, driver parade or air shows. The Monza F1 race is in September 2008. If any of you are keen to consider doing the trip, mail me. A 3 day General Admission ticket currently sells at Euros-88.
yoda
You could start something here. Open it to all riders and bikes. Some of the F1 courses are run already and advertised in MCN. Le Mans 24 hr is a big venue for bikers. Nice idea.

I rekon I'd be up for this and maybe a couple of others I know, went to Silverstone Grand Prix 2 years ago and was awesome, and been to a couple of test days since then, i'll always remember the moment me and me dad pulled up on our bikes on the friday practice session and couldn't believe the sound we was hearing! We just sat there with our helmets on staring at each other in amazement! really doesn't justify the sound and atmosphere on the tv
Daiv
The trip to Monza will be awesome in itself. Experiencing the race there will be icing on the cake. I look forward to riding with you.
markandjen
Afternoon What sort of mileage do you do per day? I've only had a licence and my bike since August so I think Monza may be a bit out of my league this time but I'd certainly consider something in the next few years. It's a cracking idea though and I'd love to join you all one day. Thanks Mark
Daiv
MarkandJen A trip to Monza only needs your enthusiasm. It isn't bothered with your history of bike ownership or biking experience. It's a real experience getting on your bike and heading into Europe. Attending an F1 race won't disappoint you either, I guarantee it.

I once rode up from London to Kendal ... and then back again the same day. The furthest I have ridden is to Monaco, on my old Monster 600. Just for the record ... I have bought my entrance tickets for the Monza F1 Grand Prix in September 2008. If anyone reading this here, is interested to join in on the the trip ... you are most welcome. Hence ... I will be going.
