ChipDip
Great forum here ... glad I found it. my question is this: I just bought an old 76 TY250 ... it needs work but I love them. It started first kick when I got it home ... ran it around the property for about 2 mins and then the throttle cable snapped. The oil injector is disabled so the throttle cable is just a single to the carb. Anyway ... I had a new cable made up ... but now the bike wont start. Maybe 1 out of 10 kicks it catches for just a second then dies. Pulled the plug and kicked it ... getting what appears to be strong spark every kick. any thoughts? ChipDip
Well I solved it. Rebuilt the carb late last night .... Removed the wiring harness and cleaned all the contacts ... replaced two connectors that looked a little "iffy" New spark plug ... Fires first kick again ... Now that I know the motor/trans is good it is being stripped completely and getting a ground up resto
