Posted November 6, 200717 yr ive just bought a yamaha xvs 125 dragstar 2001, which ran fine when i bought it a month ago. it was sat covered on the drive for a week and when i went to start it up none of the electrics worked and the engine wouldnt start i think the battery may have gone completely flat in the week it wasnt used does anyone have any ideas on what else may have caused the problem.

Battery knackered, try charging it on an optimate first to see if it will hold a charge.
