Problems with my neo's.

Hi all, i have a Yamaha Neo's 100cc Scooter. my indicators only work when my headlights are off which is a problem as i do alot of riding at night. the bike was fitted with a brand new battery in may, am i right in thinking that i need a new alternator?

run a multimeter on the battery set to dc volts and run the bike. you should be getting 14+ volts if you are charging properly. if not then next part to fail is regulator/rectifier.
