Hello folks

Please could anyone let me know where I might find the oil filter on my dragstar?

Thanks

Hello folks

Hi Nicky, The oil filter is found on the r/h side near the foot brake lever just above the exhaust pipe. There is three M5 bolts securing a small round plate, undo these and you will have access to a M6 bolt. This bolt and the two other M6 bolts (towards the front) hold the oil filter cover plate. Undo these and remove the cover ( if you haven't drained the oil prior to removing this cover oil will come out but not a lot if the bike is leaning on it's side stand). as soon as you remove the cover the filter will be exposed. Good luck, I hope you don't have the problems I have. See xvs 650 oil leak.

Thanks Sharpe! :)

I did check the RH side above the exhaust pipes but it all seemed a bit complicated. I will try again. Hope you sorted your oil leak out.
