tonyo Posted July 23, 2007 Share Posted July 23, 2007 If I do not use my bike for a couple of weeks, maybe 5, the carb jets clog and it won't idle or run right. I was told it's the gas, but had this done once already (all 4 carbs cleaed and put back together)and now it's happened again. Is this something common??? yoda Posted July 28, 2007 Share Posted July 28, 2007 Your fuel system is contaminated and the tank etc needs flushing through. Never fill the tank from a jerry can or other metal can. Always use a garage filling station that has a high turnover ie a supermarket so that the fuel you buy is fresh. Fit a fuel filter to the fuel tank outlet and dont run low on fuel.
