Dirkster
Hello everyone Hoping someone has some advice. I have a YP250 4 stroke. It recently had a new camshaft & bearings installed. Since then it has a rattling noise in the engine. Very predominant when accelerating and almost disappears when idle. The acceleration is also quite sluggish. I have thought this may be tappet settings or the timing chain. Any ideas anyone?
Dirkster
Just posted this and realised I forgot to ask. Would poor valve clearance cause the acceleration to be affected? Likewise the timing chain?

Thanks for the quick reply, it was ont of the things I was thinking of checking, but don't know how to check. What would be the best way of doing this? What would be the best way of doing this? you need to get a manual. It will pay for itself in no time
