Posted July 18, 200718 yr Hello everyone Hoping someone has some advice. I have a YP250 4 stroke. It recently had a new camshaft & bearings installed. Since then it has a rattling noise in the engine. Very predominant when accelerating and almost disappears when idle. The acceleration is also quite sluggish. I have thought this may be tappet settings or the timing chain. Any ideas anyone?
July 18, 200718 yr Author Just posted this and realised I forgot to ask. Would poor valve clearance cause the acceleration to be affected? Likewise the timing chain?
