March 21, 200916 yr just purchased a 1995 virago 535. when I went to insure it the agent asked if it was a 535 or a 535s. asked the dealer and he did not know and nothing showing on ownership.what exactly is the difference between a 535 and a 535s ? the 535s was apparently introduced in 94,with chromed engine covers ,buttoned seat and a two tone paint scheme,can confirm this as mine is 98 535s,the 535dx then came out in 98,hope this helps yours will be either the 535 or 535s,dpending on whether it had the mods fitted to the s
