ok so i cleaned the carb and now when i start the motor it just revs reallllllllllly high like it goes into the red on the tachometer!

does anyone know why the cycle is doing thisand how i can fix it, i also put new grips on if you need to know that...

you've probably incorrectly refitted the throttle cable. the outer cable is likely stuck on the holder on the carb, instead of being in it. or the cable is wrongly fitted at the other end.
