Hello everyone

This is an update to my post on the knocking engine saga during the week. I have taken the bike in to the garage today for a checkup. (Reminder YP250 Majesty - 4 stroke liquid cooled engine with knock after low oil).

I have now been told it is the cam that is knocking, I have given it an engine flush, and changed the oil. The mechanic told me the bike should be fine to ride for a few more thousand miles like this.

What do folks think of this? Should I be riding the bike at all? How difficult is it to repair this kind of problem? I am technically minded so would be happy to tackle it myself. I would imagine it is one of the bearings that is shot.

Many thanks for any help.
