I have been having an ongoing problem. I have a brand new battery(2 months old). I keep the battery on a trickle charger, when not riding. I road 40 miles today and the battery went dead, the bike just died, and would not start again (dead battery). The bike shows with an amp meter at the battery with 11-12 volts at idle, 14.85 volts at high rev. The connector on the rectifier looked bad, so I deleted the connector and hard wired it, that was about 3 weeks ago. I rode aorund town short rodes 10-15 min each way. Had no problem until today. The riding done today was at speeds of 35-55mph. Rpm's were from 3000 to 5000 all day, so the battery should of been charging, but still ended up with a dead battery. I don't know where to look at now. Any help would be appreciated. THANK YOU!!
