toadson Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 Hey everyone, I just bought a 74 Yamaha TX500 from my cousin a few weeks ago and would like to rebuild the carbs. He told me that the jets were pressed in place, and that the metal around them had been eaten away by gas over the years. He JBWelded them in place and I would like to know if there were any other solutions for this problem. The o-ring that goes around the jet isnt enough to hold it in place either. Im not sure if this is a common problem or not, but thought I would ask. Thanks!
