mtzmike Posted May 10, 2007 Share Posted May 10, 2007 My 650 maxim starts great, but when I shift into first gear, it kills the engine. it does this until the engine is warmed up a bit and the rpms high. I know the kickstand has a kill switch that kills the engine if the kick stand goes down with the bike in gear.....could it be connected or related to that or another type of kill switch?
