Hi, i have recently brought a 2002 Yamaha YZ250 which i am making road legal, it has been regestered and is insured but awaiting on MOT - Does anyone have any ideas on how to power the lights etc etc with out having to buy a new lighting coil unit for the bike, or does anyone know if the CDI unit would be able to produce enough power eg 12v???? so it could all be wired up!!!

Please please please help me

You could wire the light up directly to the battery using 6mm wire and relay that pulls in power from the CDI unit. That way your not pulling much current through the CDI and you can be sure that your light is getting the full voltage and therefore brightness.
