Hi guys,

Got a 1996 YZF750R, FSH, and mint condition.

The other day it started making a very slight knocking noise at certain revs. I have had the bike 2 months and it has never done it before.

I had done a lot of riding that day and it was warm, and had been topped up with oil as well, as it drinks oil like a 2 stroke.

It's not a loud knocking and I am not too worried, but would like to know if anybody has any ideas about what it could be. It was not doing it before I added the oil, and I am inclined to think it has something to do with the amount of riding done and the oil.

As a precaution I have changed the oil completely since.

Does anybody know what this could be - is it something to be concerned about - or do old motors occasionally make wierd noises?!

Thanks, any help appreciated.

- Nathan
