Posted April 11, 200717 yr Stall problem, can anybody tell me how to fix this. I have a 2-year old Fazer 600. Daily commute takes me five miles on local roads, then fifteen miles on motorway, then, after five or ten miles in London traffic it starts miss-firing, stalls and/or needs loads of revs to get away from lights. Have found that if i stop, turn off and restart, then the problem goes away, and the engine runs normally. But this doesn't happen every time.
April 11, 200717 yr Moderator Air filter would be a likely culprit.... But it could be that the carbs just need a good cleaning.....particularly the Pilot Jets
April 11, 200717 yr Does it run carbs or fuel injection? If it fuel injection I could write a paper on what goes wrong with it!
April 11, 200717 yr Sounds like a heat problem, if it's doing that through traffic? Is it air or liquid cooled?
