Does anyone know if the rear wheel (with alloy rim) from a 77-ish xt500 or even the alloy-rimmed rear wheel from a later-model dtmx can replace the stock steel-rimmed rear wheel from a 75/76 dt400? The wheel bearing ID is the same. I know that the brake backing plate is different between later model dts and the 75/76 wheels, but a suitable replacement from a xt wheel (or even possibly one from a 75/76 dt) will likely work. Any help would be appreciated.
