I sent my DT125R to the mechanic for an estimate to get it to pass MOT.

Apparently the wiring is all screwed up with bits pulled out and uninsulated.

Also the lighting coil is damaged and once all that is fixed I can add a headlight.

He says that the lighting coil will cost around £180? Does that seem right, I can't seem to find the part anywhere, any ideas of where to get one apart from eBay?

Could the light not just go from the battery or would that not pass MOT?

Can I do this all my self if I set aside a lot of time and have the tools but little experiance?

Any help could be much appreciated.
