Posted March 10, 200718 yr hello anyone who may read this. just for interest i've fixed my xj 600. after repairing it !! it would not run. had sparks, fuel,correct timing,etc,but no running. the problem ended up being the digital ignitor (ecu). after changing this,for a second hand unit the bike ran very well, the problem seemed to be, the ignitor was only sparking at an ADVANCED setting. so if your bike will not start, and every thing seems fine, don't assume ( like me!! ) it's sparking at the right time. i hope somebody may find this usefull? till later.
