Can anyone suggest a remedy for my R1 steering noise.

When I am driving over rough ground or braking hard I keep getting a loud click and short sharp vibration from the front end of my bike.

I dont know if its coming from the steering bearings, the forks, or the floating brake disks, the click and the sudden vibration can be felt right up through the handle bars.

The bike has done 8,000 miles, never pulled any wheelies, please, any ideas what it might be.

Ive been told that some floating disc designs mean that bumps make them rattle a little hope you can find the problem and sort it.

The click could be the pads moving in the caliper. My mates Gixer is a sod for it.

Saying that both the vibration and the click could be the headstock bearings. Gat them checked to make sure they're not loose.
