Gordi Smith Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 Hi, I'm new to this site, but would appreciate any help / advice. I've just bought a 1974 MX100A to restore, but I'm based in Scotland and I've heard that this model is VERY rare over here, possibly the only one in the country! It uses Pre-Mix fuel / oil, but I don't know what ratio of mix to use, any ideas? Also, the original throttle cable, as listed on the Yamaha Parts Guide has 2 cables at the bottom end, presumably for the oil pump and throttle slide (Cable part nos. 402-26311-00-00 and 402-26312-00-00), but with this bike using pre-mix, is there an alternative single-ended cable I could use? (Maybe from a YZ80 or similar?) I'm looking at paint schemes for the bike too, but EVERY MX100 photo that I've seen has a different colour scheme / decals! Were there many variants? Many Thanks for any help given! Gordi (From Scotland!)
