February 11, 200718 yr Moderator A battery sure couldn't hurt.....especially if it's been sitting for any length of time. as all or most XT's do have batteries...... The older one's were of the 6 volt variety....but I think yours has a 12 volt like mine.
February 11, 200718 yr Author You won't need one....but it's better to have one. thanks for ure input the reason i asked is because it wont run at all it has got an excelent spark ive tryed puttin fuel straight down the head and still not firing any suggestions?
February 12, 200718 yr Moderator You may have an air leak somewhere ..... Base gasket......intake manifolds maybe?
