Has anybody got any ideas as to why my 1996 20,000 miles trx850 is hard to start when its cold?

I have checked the choke, seems to working ok,

new plugs, when it won,t start i have taken the plugs out they seem ok, not wet with petrol.

fuel tap is working, filter in tank is not clogged, vacuum tap is working.

starts first time when hot.

good spark at the plug.

any ideas??

check battery terminals as cold cranking zaps juice for the ignition.

warm engine has charged battery and hot oil so less resistance. try heating spark plugs to see if that makes a difference as petrol (gas) ignites easier when warmed.
