Posted October 12, 200618 yr I own an '82 xj 550. Its running sweet since i refurbed the carbs, but the other night I was riding home and noticed the headlight was dimming out on me at low rpm. if i blip the throttle the headlight brightens up but as the rpm drops off so does the light. however, it also happened at 90mph which was a bit hairy to say the least. any ideas what could cause this? i've had a little dig around but the temp. in canada has plummited and its now snowing so i want to avoid hours of fault finding. any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
