Evening, I'm about mid-way through dismantling my first bike to replace a weeping oil seal. Doing this alone is possible but I have also ordered bushings and so require to dismantle the folks completly. I was told that it should be possible to use an air-gun to remove the bottom bolt from the folks so I can dismantle the inner from the outer tube, but I have had no luck so far.

I've been quoted £80 to dis-assemble and re-assemble the folks at a garage, which is reasonable I guess, but does any one in the area have the tools and experience to possibly give me a hand with this? I've got so far and have already spent £65 on the parts and I just don't have a spare £80 to hand over to a garage right now.

The specific tool I need is a Yamaha one called a rod holder, it is T-shaped and has a square end to stop the insides from spinning whilst undoing the retaining bolt.

I'm near junction six of the M40 and am willing to travel if anyone can assist. I hope to hear from you soon, many thanks with regards Jamie
