Posted February 7, 20223 yr Hey all, just moving through a cafe racer rebuild on a '79 XS750 and getting to rebuilding the carbs. Im going to be running pod filters and straight through exhaust. How many sizes in carb jetting should I go up? Do only the pilot and main jet have to be enlarged, or does the air jet too? Cheers.

Cheers. how long is a piece of string? there's no standard jetting for this and CV carbs hate pods as the air flow doesn't suit the way they work. what you can do is linear the flow by having a pipe fitted to the mouth of the carbs and then to the pods, poss have a balance pipe fitted too. I would get it on a dyno when you have a ball park figure and it runs.
