Hi all just bought myself a 2007 MT03 after owning one some 10 years ago maybe.

Unfortunately it has an issue with the instrument binnacle in that some of the LCD display is intermittent.

My original bike had an issue with misting in the LCD display and was replaced under warranty.

Does anyone know who can repair this for me as I understand a new item is around £500?

Hmmm, this doesn't seem to be a very popular bike does it? Either that or they're so reliable that non of them are getting broken...
I've had a good rummage around E-Bay and found nothing for your problem.

Speedos aren't overly complex these days.

Unless someone else has another idea, there's only really going to be one of three things wrong with it:

1/ Loose or Damaged wire
2/ Loose connector

answer. Check the connectors and wiggle the wires to see what triggers the problem.

3/ Damaged circuit board

answer. Either trace fault and repair or replace.

 

Out of curiosity, what data is it that's actually flickering on and off?

Yes that's the one.

The bike is being delivered tomorrow so I'll have a look then.

Apparently the digital speedo is missing part of the display, trip meter is also intermittent.
