Moderator Snakebite68 Posted July 30, 2021 Moderator Share Posted July 30, 2021 So... It's raining... I've got rain wear, but it would appear that there's pinhole leaks in the trousers (probably from putting them on and taking them off) around the crotch somewhere. I'm going to put this down as being one of the problems of rubberised clothing. So, the question is: Does anyone make non rubberised wet wear? Gortex or just simply better quality maybe?

There's something liberating in riding in the wet (so long as your knackers stay dry!)... Yes, you stay dry and warm and can have a peaceful fag in the car, but it's just not the same! finnerz89
I've got some Rev-it 2 piece textiles. They're the laminated outer rather than a lining so the water doesn't soak into the fabric
mike1949
Going back a lot of years SB I found that when going to and from work I had a pair of waterproof leggings where the seams especially around the crotch area were "welded" rather than stitched and never had any problems with as you so eloquently put it "soggy knackers" Mike.
Moderator Snakebite68 Posted August 1, 2021 Author Moderator Share Posted August 1, 2021 The seams of mine are internally taped, however, I think I've found the problem, part of the tape is loose. What I need now is some rubber cement! Â I still want some better waterproofs though.

Moderator Snakebite68 Posted November 1, 2021 Author Moderator Share Posted November 1, 2021 Oh, I've got textiles (RST 3 piece). They work pretty well, but there's no substitute for decent waterproofs lol
blackhat250
i"v found only the boiler suit type with the diagonal zip works, as the zip is offline with the crotch area,
