Posted July 14, 200618 yr I have a 1986 Yamaha FZ 600 that is leaking oil from what seems like the oil filter housing and/or the oil filter bolt, can I use gasket sealer arround theoil filter housing?? I talked to a Yamaha dealer and they said I can't buy a gasket for the oil filter housing bolt (I have to buy the whole oil filter bolt pressure assm.), is that an o-ring or can I make a gasket for that? I also have a oil leak at the to of the cover to the chain /countershaft sprocket cover (l. engine side), its and alen head bolt ,right below the starter. I tried to tighten the bolt but it still leaks.....
