1979 DT 175 MX UK/GERMAN SEAT ?

Hi all, please could anyone help me i have both a UK & German seat for a 1979/1980 dt 175mx.  The German one is squared of at the back whilst the UK one is tapered , is this just down to the foam/seat cover ? hopefully the seat bases are the same, just hard to tell without stripping them both.
