Posted July 2, 200618 yr Just bought my 3rd R1 yesterday its a 05 R1, may have to book it into the dealers as when i pull away the engine pinks for a few seconds then it launches perfectly it has 1700 miles on the clock.. Anyone else had this problem??

Anyone else had this problem?? For reader info..... dealer looked at bike the problem was the that the R1 has two throttle stages,the first stage had fuel residue in the carbs,...sorted now.
