Posted February 26, 20187 yr Should a crank shaft spin freely? Mine spins by hand smoothly but not freely is this normal? I’ve just put new SKF main bearings in Cheers gaz
February 27, 20187 yr Moderator No it wont spin freely like a wheel. It should feel really smoth. Turning easily.
February 27, 20187 yr When i"v built my DT"s they spin smoothly and free, untill i install the new crank seals , then they go tight,,, ,is the rod got play,? this is important,
