Posted February 25, 20187 yr Help needed please, when bike is turned on it fires, but if it doesn't burst into action it has to be left 10 minutes before it will fire again. Could this be a diode problem. When it does run engine seems fine but number 2 exhaust runs considerably cooler than the others.
February 25, 20187 yr If it ain't hot then it's not firing, simple things first as above plugs then HT leads then fuel.
February 25, 20187 yr Author It was laid up for 2 years. Carbs cleaned ultrasonic,new pilot jets, new fuel. Valve checked ok, compressions checked ok. Leads changed from one side to other but number 2 exhaust remained considerably cooler. Firing problem seems electrical as if left for 5-10minutes it will fire again.
