Hi I'm new to the site and I'm  looking for any help deristricting my v50 mate 1980 model  

im currently in the process off using a dremel to file away the exhaust port which is particularly blocked on the later models any more help would be very appreciated

Surely thats worth more working as yamaha intended.

Well apart from filing away the exhaust port, changing the carb, inlet manifold, reed valve and exhaust system  you will have to change the primary gear & clutch as the ratios were changed to ensure the max design speed could not be exceeded ... TBF I agree with Cynic
