slice Posted October 7, 2017 Share Posted October 7, 2017 HI Barry, Cynic is right, that's what it does, there's not much else to say unless you want the technical specs as to how it does this and then your going to need a degree in electronics. Your manual will tell you it's there and how it works (briefly) but if you want an in depth discussion on the electro mechanical adjustments it makes then Yamaha UK is your best port of call. Checked on the net for similar enquiries and could find nothing other than loads for sale..! There are loads of videos on YOUTUBE about TPS adjustment that might be a good place to start? clarke Posted October 8, 2017 Share Posted October 8, 2017 As above the TPS tells the ECU the throttle position. The ECU uses this info to change fuelling etc. Here's two videos of the TPS on my V-Strom. In the first the TPS was slightly out, the bar next to the C00 was in this _ position at idle whereas it should have been in this position - These positions are linked to rev range and your workshop manual will tell you these. The second video shows the TPS adjusted to the correct position. The sensor is very sensitive and only requires the slightest touch to change it.
