Hi there,

I am a new rider of a few years (Not so new but consider myself new) I have just been out and was testing my revs on the bike. I was in first gear, twisted the accelerator a little bit, let it go, then twisted again and I zoomed down the road a lot faster than I would usually?

Am I just a novice or does this have a specific name?

I know it's stupid question. But I feel like my riding life has just unlocked a better way to ride a bike.

Is this merely just jumping the revs?

A revelation , people need to know, twist it further to go faster. Who knew?

Sarcasm aside, shifting your grip on the throttle to get it fully open without your wrist at an uncomfortable angle is normal.

OH my, this brings back memories..! Yep as above "Who knew?" Just remember not to do it when the bobbies are about tho..!
