A big problem for those whose bikes have no center stand is getting the front or back wheel off the ground. I found this solution for about £36 quid. 

 

Or you can make something like this for a fiver, or less if you have the timber around.  Adapt as required.  I fixed the handle permanently to mine, and it is a bit lower, just keeps the bike upright so I can crawl on the floor to check the oil level.   I didn't need it for anything else.

...but the bike is not level, so no good for checking oil.

Not sure about putting extra weight on sidestand, and I haven't got a MIG welder or bobbins on my bike.

thats ideal if your cleaning the back wheel or washing the bike.

as for checking oil.centre stand/paddock stand are of no use.

you need to hold the bike upright on level ground,theres no other way round it.

My man does that :D
