James Henry
A big problem for those whose bikes have no center stand is getting the front or back wheel off the ground. I found this solution for about £36 quid.
cotterpot
Or you can make something like this for a fiver, or less if you have the timber around. Adapt as required. I fixed the handle permanently to mine, and it is a bit lower, just keeps the bike upright so I can crawl on the floor to check the oil level. I didn't need it for anything else. Can't find the 'english' version of the plans

cotterpot
...but the bike is not level, so no good for checking oil. Not sure about putting extra weight on sidestand, and I haven't got a MIG welder or bobbins on my bike.
johnakay
thats ideal if your cleaning the back wheel or washing the bike. as for checking oil.centre stand/paddock stand are of no use. you need to hold the bike upright on level ground, theres no other way round it.
