Probably not, my TDR is an import (similar vintage) and that had a kph clock. Swapping out for a MPH unit was all I needed to do.

You should have noted a specific speed in a specific gear before swapping the clocks, say 100kph (60mph near as) what the rpm's were. Then you could easily check after.

Thanks a lot chaps. I took it out today up the Horseshoe pass and it was spot on against my brothers bikes. 

Happy bunny now. Although I am thinking of selling it now as the wife doesn't like the riding position and my brother is selling his Thundercat which is a lot more practical.
