I bought an XVS950a Midnight Star last year and have been riding it without proper boots, bad form I know.  Now I've bought a nice pair of Held leather boots but cannot get my toe under the gearchange pedal.  Problem is I can't see how to adjust it so I can get my toe between the footboard and the gearchanger. Can anyone advise me on how to do this please? Many thank.

If you have even the slightest mechanical savvy you should know what to do.

that`s why you have double arm shift, to don`t have to put your foot under pedal.  press the rear arm to change up the gears... or just sell the bike, is broken.

I still use front to change up a gear most of the time.  It just seems easier than moving foot on the board to use heel.

The Honda C90"s  were like this,

in 2 weeks you will be PRO, you need just some practice.
