normanfoster
I bought an XVS950a Midnight Star last year and have been riding it without proper boots, bad form I know. Now I've bought a nice pair of Held leather boots but cannot get my toe under the gearchange pedal. Problem is I can't see how to adjust it so I can get my toe between the footboard and the gearchanger. Can anyone advise me on how to do this please? Many thank. Very good people that I use a lot. https://www.fowlersparts.co.uk/parts/4231834/xvs950a-26p2-2010-060-a/shift-shaft If you have even the slightest mechanical savvy you should know what to do.

lallasro
that`s why you have double arm shift, to don`t have to put your foot under pedal. press the rear arm to change up the gears... or just sell the bike, is broken.
cotterpot
I still use front to change up a gear most of the time. It just seems easier than moving foot on the board to use heel.
