Bikerboy1000 Posted April 3, 2017 Share Posted April 3, 2017 Hi, I'm steve and just signed up. Just got myself a dt250c 1976 USA bike to add to the collection. It's in good nick for 41. Looks in better shape than me and I'm only 5 years older. I'm in essex.... Saafend to be precise. Only lived here 3 months. Warwickshire boy before. Just need a bit of help in finding a couple of spares. Had many RD350's in my time but only one dt250. American to boot so I guess bits will be harder to come by. Need a a pair of rear shocks. The ones with the fake chunk of ribbed cylinder if possible to keep it original. If not I'll pop some 12" ones on and get the proper ones as and when. slice Posted April 5, 2017 Share Posted April 5, 2017 As above, I was told "you can't repair or refurb them" and then the next day I found a guy on the net who did just that. So what you do now is call them and see if they can help. I did the same thing a couple of years ago and even if the guy I was talking to couldn't do it they always had someone else that they knew who might be able to help. Falcon said send them and they will have a go but that doesnt instill much confidence in me that i will get them back in a use able condition if they cant fix them. The best one out the 3 seems TW who say they specialise in helping middle aged men having a stroke (2 stroke that is) get knackered rear shocks refurbished (well words to that effect) Thanks slice Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
